A RheumPAC Overview

RheumPAC is an integral part of the ACR’s advocacy mission as the only political action committee (a legal entity formed to raise and contribute money to the campaigns of candidates) solely dedicated to the rheumatology profession. One hundred percent of the funds raised by RheumPAC is disbursed to carefully chosen congressional campaigns to educate, support and thank our key partners in Congress who work toward advancing our priorities on Capitol Hill. RheumPAC works every day to increase the ACR’s impact on policy decision in Washington, D.C. Your support allows us to have more resources to make a greater impact.

For many years, the ACR board of directors and Government Affairs Committee have done exemplary work in keeping members abreast of legislative regulatory issues that affect all aspects of rheumatology, including patient and physician/healthcare professional issues, education, and research. Through advocacy, the ACR advances rheumatology and fosters excellence in the care of people with, or at risk for, arthritis and rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. One might say that advocacy is a cornerstone of this organization.
