Practice Page: Denials Management Can Help Maximize Reimbursements for Physician Practices

Staff  |  Issue: January 2014  |  January 1, 2014

Efficient and timely reports are essential to the success of your denials management plan. There should be daily and weekly reports to monitor problem areas in the accounts receivable and payment process. Through the management of denials, there are opportunities for rheumatology practices to identify problem areas and create opportunities to recover lost payments and better analyze the performance of the practice.

Denials management is not a one-time process, but an ongoing procedure to prevent unpaid claims that result in lost revenue. The outcomes will be well worth the effort. If you need further information, or assistance creating a denials management strategy for your practice, contact the ACR practice management department at [email protected].
