Due to economics, you may be reluctant to add more space to your practice. Although the upfront costs are intimidating, additional space means increased capacity, which equals more income.

When deciding to expand, do the following:

  • Evaluate current practice space;
  • Plan appropriately to add more providers;
  • Review available benchmarks for practice space per full-time provider; and
  • Calculate how reconfiguring the practice will affect patients.
