Progress in Gout Education & Remission

On Nov. 18 at ACR Convergence 2024, a session titled Of Kings and Men: Education and Remission in Gout will present strategies to educate patients about their disease and review progress toward the concept of remission in gout to better guide physicians.

N. Lawrence Edwards, MD, the University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, will speak about challenges related to educating patients with gout about their condition and how to bridge the knowledge gap.

Angelo Gaffo, MD, FACP, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, will give a presentation on recent advancements in defining and achieving remission in gout.

The session aims to help participants develop a strategy incorporating education and treatment goals to improve the management of gout and therapy adherence among patients with the condition.
