RheumPAC: How the ACR’s Non-Partisan Political Action Committee Works

These conversations often lead to follow-up exchanges and ongoing relationships between rheumatologists and decision makers. In 2014, one of these relationships allowed the ACR to help delay ICD-10 implementation. Every new donation to RheumPAC helps create a new relationship. Meanwhile, every election, retirement and change in a majority party (such as the Senate in 2014) creates new members and committee chairs who may not be familiar with rheumatology. RheumPAC can reach them.
