A New Twist in the Consumerization of Healthcare

Internet ratings of physicians have a much wider reach than traditional word-of-mouth opinions shared within a small community. A new generation—whose social network reaches around the world through Web sites like MySpace and Facebook—will broaden the scope of healthcare competition beyond the traditional borders of city limits or local areas. Medical practices are entering a new age of marketing and competition, and must be prepared. Is your practice prepared to treat the new medical consumer?
