Five To-Dos for a Successful Practice in 2009

Staff  |  Issue: January 2009  |  January 1, 2009

It is often a challenge for practices to keep up with all the coding changes that happen each year, and that’s why your ACR coding specialists are here. As the new year begins, remember to:

  1. Update charge slips and superbills;
  2. Update the Advance Beneficiary Notice form;
  3. Review major carriers’ medical policies for updates;
  4. Reconcile your 2008 accounts receivable; and
  5. Update all coding and billing reference materials.

If you have any coding or reimbursement questions, contact Melesia Tillman, CCP, CPC at [email protected] at (404) 633-3777, ext. 820, or visit us on the ACR Web site, www.rheumatology.org
