Speak Out Rheum: Fifty Years of APLAR

Prakash Pispati, MD  |  Issue: August 2013  |  August 1, 2013

Today, joint ACR–APLAR programs in medical education are a regular feature at APLAR congresses. These events are also a feast for your eyes and your palate. The inaugural ceremonies are replete with cultural displays highlighting the song and dance of the host country.

Back to the Future

Fifty years of hard work has succeeded in bringing rheumatology to the masses. Through the generous support of the APLAR fellowships, our outstanding trainees are encouraged to gain expertise by working in centers of excellence around the world. We hope they will propel APLAR to even greater heights.
