After three years on the Committee for Research, Linda Hiraki, MD, ScD, has stepped into the role of chair. During her term, she aims to foster global connections to advance and expand the positive impact of rheumatology research.
Dr. Kuhn hopes to expand funding for rheumatology research and enhance the ACR’s basic and clinical research pre-conference offerings during her term as chair.
Defining new therapeutic targets and developing new therapies are among the goals of the 2016–2020 ACR National Research Agenda.
