In 2016, as part of the Simple Tasks campaign, the ACR established September as Rheumatic Disease Awareness Month (RDAM) to draw attention to the 100-plus conditions under the rheumatic disease umbrella. The goal of RDAM is not only to raise public awareness, but also to increase understanding about the symptoms, risk factors, treatment options, economic impact and challenges—both medical and personal—associated with rheumatic diseases.

In observance of the sixth annual RDAM, Simple Tasks will be piloting a patient-focused virtual experience offering content and resources for individuals living with rheumatic disease. This year’s seminar and supporting materials will cover a range of topics, from reproductive health to family planning/pregnancy and early parenting. Attendees can expect interactive discussions and resources from experts in reproductive health and parenting.
