We read with interest the article, “Colchicine Effective for Acute Pericarditis” by Lara C. Pullen, PhD (published online Oct. 31, 2013). It is important to note the limitation of this study for patients with rheumatic diseases—only a small proportion of patients had CTD, and hence this study cannot be generalized to patients that we treat as rheumatologists.
